Certain Nvidia Corporation customers are being met with new delays when setting up the company's most advanced artificial intelligence chips in data centers, The Information reported on Monday citing suppliers and customers.
According to these sources, Nvidia’s most recent chips, Blackwell, are experiencing overheating and glitches, which in turn postpones the data center plans of giant clients, including Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft, alongside Amazon Web Services, Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC, and Meta Platforms Inc., halted some Blackwell GB200 orders due to these issues, the sources explained.
According to an Nvidia employee and a Microsoft employee, the customers are now waiting for a later version of the aforementioned chips, which could be delivered as late as in the second part of 2025.
