"They have created a mechanism that the rest of the world doesn't understand. This has led markets to think that countries are more likely to default," he added.

Fra i titoli corti il marzo 2012 ha fatto bene ed ha visto prezzi al rialzo rispetto al giorno precedente chiudendo a quota 55,16, mentre i due maggio 2013 hanno ceduto molto terreno, chiudendo a 43,46 il 4,6%, e a 47,87 il 7,5%, così come anche il bond a scadenza agosto 2014 5,5%, che ha chiuso a 38,97.

Mi pare ovvio.
Finché non vi é quasi-certezza di un default a breve... un titolo in scadenza tra meno di sei mesi non può non prezzare meno basso di un titolo con scadenza più lontana di un 30%...
Qui é pieno di gente che fa trading per accorciare le scadenze.
il mercato registra volumi molto ridotti (un milione al giorno é una quantità infima rispetto ad un titolo con nominale di vari miliardi)..
e questo non può non avere influenza sui prezzi

curioso che ieri il ministro delle finanze britannico ha detto il contrario, vero?

(AGI) Washington - Nessun piano e nessuna ipotesi circa un default del debito greco sono stati avanzati al meeting del Fondo Monetario. Lo assicura il ministro delle Finanze britannico, George Osborne, a margine dei lavori in corso nella capitale Usa: "Qui nessuno ha presentato un piano relativamente a questo". In precedenza alcune voci avevano ventilato simile possibilita'. .

LONDRA - Tremila miliardi per salvare l'euro: secondo il Sunday Times è uno dei punti di un "ambizioso" piano su cui stanno lavorando i ministri delle finanze dei paesi del G20 per espandere il fondo di bailout europeo in vista di un default della Grecia ai primi di novembre. Fonti vicine al vertice tra ministri e Fondo Monetario Internazionale hanno detto al Times che il piano avrebbe tre aspetti: la ricapitalizzazione delle banche europee vulnerabili, il fondo di bailout da 440 miliardi alzato fino a tremila miliardi e il default pilotato della Grecia facendo rimanere il paese all'interno della Eurozona.
"La questione non è più se la Grecia andrà in default quanto assicurare che ci sia la potenza di fuoco finanziaria per far fronte a un default e assicurare che il contagio non si diffonda attraverso l'Eurozona quando succedera", ha detto, parlando da Washington, Gerard Lyons, chief economist della banca Standard Chartered. Di un piano lungo le stesse linee e che potrebbe essere annunciato nei prossimi giorni parla anche il Sunday Telegraph: mirerebbe a circoscrivere la crisi a Grecia, Portogallo e Irlanda evitando il contagio a Italia e Spagna

Di nuovo.. mi pare ovvio.

Se ne avessero parlato.. dovrebbero comunque tutti smentirlo.

Un default greco, anche formalmente, sarebbe semplicemente la conseguenza di una decisione greca.. o di un'incapacità greca di decidere.

Gli altri paesi, non possono non fare piani di reazione ad un evento siffatto, per contenerne le conseguenze negative.

Non dico la pena di morte, ma quasi, per coloro che stanno mentendo sapendo di mentire, in questi drammatici momenti solo per guadagnarci due ( o duemila) soldi!

Anche i bondholder hanno il loro diritto di sapere come stanno esattamente le cose! C'è un inquinamento pazzesco;
ognuno tira l' acqua al proprio mulino...
o ti vogliono fare uscire a 50 così qualcun altro si prende 100
o ti vogliono far credere che tutto procede ok e ciularti un altro 30%

quale delle 2?
qualcuno stà giocando sporco!

o coloro che già danno per scontato il default prima della fine dell' anno?

Poi cosa vuol dire che i default non si annunciano si fanno?
è una giustificazione questa??

comunque non ci sarà da attendere molto sulla querrelle del defoult, dato che la prox settimana (4 ott) la grecia deve pagare la cedola semestrale su questo bond da 5 mld GR0528002315...che senso avrebbe pagare la cedola sapendo che c'è già stabilito il defoult...

ATHENS (Dow Jones)--The German government is pushing a plan to restructure Greece's debt that would include up to a 50% loss to bond holders and new draconian budget measures imposed on the Greek government, local media report Sunday.

According to the center-right Kathimerini newspaper, the German plan would involve a forced, non-voluntary restructuring of Greece's public debt, that would include slashing the value of that debt by between 40% and 50%.

But the plan also calls for the euro-zone member countries to help recapitalize Greek banks--which would be hit hard by such a restructuring--and for the appointment of a European official in Athens who would have direct oversight, and veto powers, over Greece's fiscal program.

Citing government sources, the newspaper says that the plan has not been officially put forward or discussed by European officials. It adds that many details--such as the willingness of other euro-zone countries to continue financing Greece or the reaction of the European Central Bank to a debt restructuring--remain unanswered.

The report comes as Greece is locked in talks with its international creditors over reforms and budget cuts the country must take in order to secure the next EUR8 billion installment of a EUR110 billion aid package the country signed last year.

Those talks are expected to continue over the weekend where Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos was due to meet various officials and bankers on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund in Washington. Without that aid, Greece will run out of money by mid-October.

According to the center-left Ethnos newspaper, the German government has stepped up preparations for a restructuring of Greece's debt, that include a 50% discount--or haircut--on Greek government bonds.

Fearing that Greece may not be able to secure the next tranche of its aid payment, Germany is trying to prepare its own banks for the consequences of such a debt restructuring by as early as October.

Because a Greek debt restructuring could have consequences on other highly-indebted euro-zone countries--such as Spain, Italy, Ireland and Portugal--the newspaper says Germany's plan calls for measures to support its own banks.

Citing well-placed sources in Brussels, the newspaper says that the German government foresees providing some EUR127 billion in aid to help recapitalize Germany's 10 biggest banks, and that the European Commission is aware of the German plan.

The Ethnos newspaper also reports that following a debt restructuring, Greece would be forced to adopt strict budget terms that would include ensuring a balanced budget each month.

A German official said his country's government was awaiting the findings of Greece's international creditors--the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank--to see whether and when the latest tranche of Greece's loan package can be paid.

ma allora perchè pagare quasi 800 milioni solo una settimana fa per le cedole del 2037 e 2040?

gli restavano soldi per la mancia????
