PETROLIO: MINCATO, PREZZI VERSO 30 DOLLARI ENTRO FINE ANNO
(ANSA) - VIENNA, 16 SET - L'amministratore delegato dell'Eni
Vittorio Mincato prevede un calo delle quotazioni del petrolio
entro la fine dell'anno. "Sono convinto che i prezzi torneranno
a scendere, si parla a circa 30 dollari a barile" ha detto
Mincato in un incontro con giornalisti a margine del simposio di
due giorni organizzato dall'Opec in un albergo della capitale
austriaca.
Quanto alla decisione dell'Opec di aumentare le quote
produttive di 1 milione di barili al giorno da novembre, secondo
Mincato, "lascia il tempo che trova, si tratta ora di capire
quanto viene realmente prodotto in più. L'organizzazione stava
già producendo più delle quote fissate; l'aumento di ieri non
avrà grandi effetti sui mercati" ha detto l'amministratore
delegato dell'Eni, Vittorio Mincato.
In merito al costo attuale del petrolio sui mercati
internazionali, inoltre, il presidente dell'Eni è convinto che
al prezzo strutturale si aggiungano in questo momento tra i 10
ed i 15 dollari a barile come frutto dei timori del terrorismo e
della speculazione, soprattutto degli investitori degli hedge
fonds. "Sul mercato in questo momento circolano normalmente
mille barili "di carta" (quelli delle speculazioni, che in
realtà non corrispondono a produzione reale Ndr) rispetto ai
160 barili che c'erano nel 2000" ha detto Mincato.
Parlando di investimenti, Mincato ha detto che si tratta di
decisioni a medio-lungo termine, che non possono tenere conto
della "schizofrenia quotidiana" che mettono in mostra in
questo momento i mercati. E' chiaro che l'industria non può
fare investimenti sulla base di quotazioni che sono ai livelli
attuali solo da un anno. (ANSA).

Tra le 4 e le 5 potevo rollare lo short da gennaio a febbraio con ,20 di spread... Non l'ho fatto e adesso è ritornato ai soliti ,60.
Comunque sta tornando denaro in chiusura.
Andrea a inizio settimana ci sentiamo di nuovo? Mi piacerebbe chiamarti da solo short...

DJ UPDATE:OIL FUTURES:Nymex Crude Settles +4.3% At 2-Wk High


NEW YORK (Dow Jones)-- Crude futures in New York settled up 4.3% Thursday at
their highest level in two weeks, as government data showed crude and
distillate inventories at lower-than-expected levels.

Refined-product futures also vaulted to two-week highs, with heating oil
futures scoring the biggest daily front-month rise this year.

Commercial crude inventories fell by nearly double what analysts had expected
to a six-month low, according to government data. Distillates, which include
heating oil and diesel fuel, built marginally last week, countering analysts'
estimates for a bigger rise.

The data fed concerns about steady crude draws and distillate stock levels,
traders said. Crude inventories have fallen in the past six weeks, and worries
about tightness in Europe overshadowed 13 weeks of distillate builds, some
said.

"I think it may be a global rally, since distillates are low in Europe and
there's a concern that they could be tight, come winter," said Andrew Lebow, a
broker for Man Financial Inc. in New York.

October light, sweet crude oil futures rose $1.84 to settle at $44.61 a
barrel. Earlier in the day, the contract climbed nearly $2 a barrel, closing in
on $45.

In London, October Brent blend crude futures settled at $42.22 a barrel, up
$1.83, on the International Petroleum Exchange.

Nymex October heating oil rose 6.68 cents to settle at $1.2254 a gallon,
while gasoline futures for the same month rose 4.37 cents to settle at $1.2254
a gallon.

On the IPE, September gasoil futures settled up $16.75 at $394.25 a metric
ton, reflecting Europe's extremely tight inventories, analysts said.

The continued drift lower in crude inventories came as U.S. oil demand soared
last week to 20.9 million barrels a day - its fifth-highest level ever,
according to government data. It also marked a record for a non-winter month.

"There seems to be waves of speculative buying," Lebow said. "Maybe today's
action is going to change perception and people may see crude headed toward $50
again."

But a handful of market participants saw the day's rally as overdone.

"To see these numbers on this data - it seems illogical," said Michael Guido,
director of commodity strategy in New York for bank Societe Generale. "It felt
like it could have been somebody covering a big position."

Traders said most buying sought to cover short positions, not open fresh
ones.

Fanning the rise were ongoing concerns about Hurricane Ivan, which continued
to lash the Caribbean, closed in on Jamaica late Thursday, and threatened to
hit the U.S. by Sunday.

Forecasters said the storm likely will plough through Florida - still reeling
from Hurricane Frances last weekend - but traders were fretting it might veer
west and hit the Gulf of Mexico. The U.S. has its greatest concentration of
refineries there.

Following are prices for selected Nymex and IPE contracts and their
comparison to values at the prior day's settlement.

Prices for crude oil are in dollars a barrel and the change is in cents;
prices for Nymex products are in cents a gallon and the changes are in points;
prices for IPE gasoil are in dollars a ton and the change is in cents.
