AAL non chiuderà i battenti, su questo direi che siamo tutti d'accordo, ma potrebbe sempre essere un "fallimento", anche perchè personalmente non conosco il diritto fallimentare americano.

Resta da capire l'impatto sui certificati che potrebbe avere un ingresso statale (tipo alitalia) oppure un concordato come è successo ad Astaldi con l'ingresso di Salini.

Come si comportano i certificati in questi casi?
Nel primo caso, essendo un aumento di capitale, ci dovrebbe essere il ricalcolo dello strike.
Nel secondo caso non ne ho idea, non so neanche se esiste in america.

(Reuters) - Hertz Global Holdings Inc said on Wednesday it was in talks with its lenders to avoid defaulting on debt related to its rental vehicle fleet, after skipping a payment that was due April 27.
Hertz, whose Hertz Corp subsidiary operates the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty rental brands, said in a regulatory filing that it had suffered a "sudden and dramatic negative impact" on its business due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has crushed demand for rental cars as people cancel travel and stay at home.
Hertz's shares were trading at roughly $3.71 on Wednesday, down about 20% on the day and down around 80% from late February. Billionaire Carl Icahn owns 38.9% of Hertz.
The Estero, Florida-based company has been working with debt restructuring advisers on re-working its finances, Reuters reported last week. The company's debt load totals $17 billion.
Hertz said that not enough lenders have agreed so far to its request for a waiver or forbearance with regard to the missed payments. Hertz said it has until May 4 to reach an agreement.
Hertz's preparations for a possible bankruptcy have been accelerating, a source familiar with the matter said this week. The source asked for anonymity because the deliberations are confidential.

Annamarì, con tutta la bona volontà...dipende dal tuo orizzonte d'investimento, da quanto ci hai investito del pt...quello è un certificato molto pericoloso, non adatto ai deboli di cuore.

Il segretario di stato americano Mike Pompeo ha accusato Pechino di aver insabbiato la verità sul coronavirus, che sarebbe stato prodotto in un laboratorio di Wuhan, focolaio del virus in Cina. "Posso dirvi che vi sono prove significative del fatto che questo (virus) proviene da un laboratorio di Wuhan", ha detto il segretario di Stato Pompeo, in un'intervista all'ABC. Non è la prima volta che gli Stati Uniti accusano Pechino di essere responsabile della diffusione globale del coronavirus e della relativa malattia COVID-19. Accuse pesanti sono state rilanciate più volte dallo stesso presidente americano Donald Trump. Nelle ultime ore l'Associated Press ha segnalato anche l'esistenza di un rapporto di quattro pagine del dipartimento di Sicurezza Nazionale Usa, a cui ha avuto accesso, in cui si legge che i funzionari americani ritengono che la Cina "abbia intenzionalmente nascosto (al mondo) la gravità" della pandemia, fin dall'inizio di gennaio.
