Su SNS ero tranquillo. Avevo chiesto un po' di info. Tra l'altro nella PR dicono che l'obiettivo di utile è 450-500 mln in una situazione normalizzata. Hanno un Tier1 elevato. A me piace.

AMSTERDAM, Feb 18 (Reuters) -
Dutch bancassurer SNS Reaal (SR.AS) posted a surprise 2009 profit on Thursday on a rebound in its insurance business, but said it will take three years to unwind the loss-making international portfolio in its property finance business.
The company's chief executive also said it expects to sustain recent gains in both savings market share and margins, amid cutthroat competition in the Dutch market.
SNS shares rose 3.47 percent at 1003 GMT, outpacing a 0.01 percent decline in European bank shares .SX7P.
"
With the exception of SNS Property Finance, SNS Reaal reported a solid set of figures beating our forecast and consensus," KBC Securities analyst Dirk Peeters said in a note, upgrading the stock to "buy" from "accumulate".
SNS reported a profit of 17 million euros ($23.34 million), against a Reuters poll estimate for a loss of 22 million euros.
In 2008 the company lost 504 million euros, due mostly to its Reaal insurance business. In 2009, though, SNS struggled with weakness in its property finance unit, which was heavily exposed to markets that suffered during the credit crisis.
SNS said the unit lost 219 million euros in 2009, with the losses accelerating in the second half, and that it was working to unwind its international portfolio by 2012.
The company has said its withdrawal from the property finance unit's international portfolio would be gradual, but Thursday was the first time it set a clear timetable for how long it would take.
"We have the solvency and capital position to do so. We have the time to weather the storm," Chief Executive Ronald Latenstein told Reuters in an interview, adding that uncertain market conditions made it difficult to predict what the trend of future losses in the unit would be.
Latenstein said there was a "certain element of sustainability" in the savings market and margin gains SNS's retail bank made in the fourth quarter. Dutch banks have been involved in a rate war over deposits since late 2008 that has eaten into margins and pressured results.
SNS also said it would not pay a 2009 dividend. Were it to pay a dividend it would also have to pay a substantial coupon on the remaining state aid it received in October 2008.
There is no timetable for the repayment of the rest of its 1 billion euros in aid, and SNS said only that it wanted to repay the money "as soon as possible, in a responsible manner". ($1=.7283 Euro) (Reporting by Ben Berkowitz; Editing by Jon Loades-Carter and Sharon Lindores
il problema di sns,è SNS Property Finance che produce perdite, e avranno ancora problemi al riguardo.
